Hello!

My name is Parth Dhyani and I am currently a software engineer at HubSpot, where I work on a frontend engineering team that builds tools for external developers to create apps with HubSpot’s platform.

I recently graduated from the University of Michigan, where I led The Michigan Daily newspaper’s 35-person software development team. In my free time, I enjoy reading books and tending to my houseplants and aquariums.

Experience

  • HubSpot

    Cambridge, MA

    • Senior Software Engineer I

      Sep 2023 - Present

I lead and develop projects on the Apps and Infrastructure FE team in the Developer Project Group.
    • Software Engineer

      Jun 2022 - Aug 2023

I worked on projects that allow HubSpot’s customers to build and maintain apps that customize their CRM. For example, I developed and launched a feature called webhooks in private apps that allows users to easily subscribe to HubSpot events. In just a few clicks, customers and the integrations they build can be notified when an event occurs, such as when a contact is created or modified.
    • Software Engineering Co-op

      Jun 2021 - Dec 2021

As a software engineering intern on the Strategic Integrations Frontend Team, I used React to build settings pages for integrations to HubSpot to allow users to sync and manage their data in one place. I helped build a table UI that allows customers to create, edit, and validate data mappings between HubSpot and external apps like Shopify.

      Aug 2020 - Dec 2021

I led the newspaper’s 35-person software team, which includes data engineers, web developers, mobile engineers, and product designers. I helped launch a new michigandaily.com website to better serve our 350k monthly users, in addition to leading development on various other sites and projects created with React and deployed via AWS.
    • Project Manager

      Dec 2019 - Aug 2020

I managed and mentored an 8-person data visualization team, where we used D3.js and web scraping to create interactive data-driven articles, like this award-winning series on UMich college admissions.
    • Data Visualization Engineer

      Sep 2018 - Dec 2019

I learned how to web scrape, query APIs, and create data visualizations using D3.js for news articles.
  • Humana

    Louisville, KY

    • Software Engineering Intern

      May 2020 - Aug 2020

With 3 other interns, I developed a data-sharing web app, where Humana employees can request and track access for Google BigQuery datasets. We developed the frontend for the app in Vue.js, the backend REST API with Flask, and used a NoSQL Google Firestore database. Our project was built and released through Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and deployed to Google Cloud App Engine.

  • The Morton Arboretum

    Lisle, IL

    • Forest Ecology Student Researcher

      Sep 2016 - May 2018

At The Center for Tree Science, I researched the phenology (timing of life cycle events) of native and invasive plant species in a forest environment. This involved weekly data collection in the field and analyzing the data through R.
